*Minimum class attendance is 4 shooters, max is 8. Classes must have the minimum in order to be offered. DEP Tactical LLC. reserves the right to cancel or change the time of any course. AMMO is not included in any of our courses.

HANDGUN COURSES

Basics of Pistol Shooting. This is an NRA Instructor LED course.
(P-101)

Learn how your firearm operates. We conduct an entry level class that shows the new firearms owner how to care for their gun. We then instruct you on the fundamentals of shooting in order to increase your accuracy. Basic shooting stances are reviewed here along with techniques to improve your handling of the firearm.
This class is intended for those who have never handled a firearm before.

Fundamental Development Course for semi-automatic pistols
(P-102)
This is not an NRA approved course.

Here we look more at how you intend on caring your firearm. We discuss and review multiple holster selections and how to properly carry a firearm whether concealed or open on your person. We will cover equipment selection, set-up and how to properly draw your firearm. Instructors then teach more of the fundamentals of firearms shooting. Here we strive to find your optimal shooting stance and draw out better shooting and accuracy. This class is intended for those who are comfortable handling a firearm. Students also looking to establish basic marksmanship skills with accuracy. You will need a sturdy top-draw holster and a magazine pouch for this course.

Intermediate Hand-gunner
(P-103)
This is not an NRA approved course.

This course introduces movement while drawing your firearm. We also utilized moving and multiple targets for this training that allow the student to develop threat identification. We continue to hone the student’s skill in the fundamentals advancing marksmanship capability. Basic malfunction drills are introduced in order to expand the foundation of weapon handling and ensure its continued operation during an actual event. It is requested that you attend Pistol 102 and prior to enrollment in this course. Or, that you can verify with our instructor(s) that you have a similar knowledge and background with firearms, specifically handguns. This class is intended for those who are comfortable handling a firearm. Students also looking to advance their basic fundamentals of marksmanship skills with accuracy. You will need a sturdy top-draw holster and a magazine pouch for this course.

Advanced Hand-gunner and Defensive Pistol Techniques
(P-104)
This is not an NRA approved course.

Here we incorporate all previous courses listed. We continue to learn how the firearm can operate and teach malfunction drills in order to get the firearm back to an operational state. We also inoculate the shooter with some stressful situations in order to increase awareness of how an actual event may play out while using a firearm. This class is intended for the student who has a solid understanding of firearms and ability to carry and use a firearm. We introduce more fluid techniques with movement in order to increase your ability for a defensive use of a firearm. We also fine tune your fundamentals for shot placement and improvement. You will need a sturdy top-draw holster and a magazine pouch for this course.

Home Defense
(P-HD)
This is not and NRA approved course.

In this course, we review the Pennsylvania Castle law and your duties as an armed citizen. We also review the possible legal ramifications that may occur if you fire your weapon in the line of self-defense. P-103 is designed for our instructors to train in your home! We help you assess areas within the home that can be strong/weak points, make security recommendations and practice dry-fire drills to increase your knowledge of protecting your castle.

Red-Dot Sight for Pistols
(RDS-P)
This is not an NRA approved course.

In this course we review current red dot sights (RDS) on the market and how to advance the shooters skill in transitioning to this sight from the traditional iron sights. We review common tendencies, technical issues, mounting options and holster selection. We even teach how to overcome an obscured sight window if something should fail with your sight. This class is intended for the student who has a solid understanding of firearms and the ability to operate the weapon in a safe manner. You will need a sturdy top-draw holster and a magazine pouch for this course.

LONG-GUN (AR TYPE PLATFORM GUNS)

(LG-201)

We will cover equipment selection, set-up and how to properly carry your firearm. Instructors then teach more of the fundamentals of firearms shooting with a long gun. We also look at different sight options. Here we strive to review the many different shooting stances and draw out better shooting and accuracy. This class is intended for those who are comfortable handling a firearm. Students also looking to establish basic marksmanship skills with accuracy.

Intermediate Long-gunner
(LG-203)
This is not an NRA approved course.

This course introduces movement while using your firearm. We also utilized moving and multiple targets for this training that allow the student to develop threat identification. It is requested that you attend Pistol 101, 102 and LG-202 prior to enrollment in this course. Or, that you can verify with our instructor(s) that you have a similar knowledge and background with firearms, specifically handguns and long-guns. This class is intended for those who are comfortable handling a firearm. Students also looking to advance their basic fundamentals of marksmanship skills with accuracy.

Advanced Long-gunner
(LG-204)
This is not an NRA approved course.

Here we incorporate all previous courses listed. We continue to learn how the firearm can operate and teach malfunction drills in order to get the firearm back to an operational state.
